I didn’t know Alif Laila, one of the famous shows that aired on sunday mornings, had Ramanand Sagar doing the screenplay. The Sagar family is famous for Hindu mythological serials, much like the Ramsay’s for horror. Anyway, here is the theme from Alif Laila.

Ok, this was one of my favorites again on DD again. All the sportstars of that generation are in the video. PT Usha, Srikanth, Milkha Singh, Gavaskar, Prakash Padukone to name a few. Further below is the original from the classic 1981 film Chariots of Fire 
Seems the likes of Anu Malik and Pritham have their roots from the national broadcast network. Enjoy!!

Haha, this is funny. I wonder how they came up with the name DigJam, sounds really ghetto. Anyway, one of India’s most acclaimed director, Shekar Kapoor doing is full length ad. I also the love the typewriter in the shot.

Liril is known for their steamy ads on television. This is apparently the first liril girl. Again, I dont remember seeing this on television but its fascinating seeing all these ads.
