CES, or Consumer Electronics Show seems to be the talk of the town. Almost all the big players are releasing their prized products. Apple , released their newest offering the iPhone. Apple also changes its name to Apple Inc. More about iPhone. After being sued by Cisco for a product of theirs bearing the same name, I wasn’t so sure apple getting into the mobile arena was a good idea. I mean, companies like Motorola and Nokia have been innovating for years. The iPhone has shocked almost everyone, including me, with killer looks, mind blowing features and an even more impressive site, iPhone looks like it will be giving treo and blackberry a run for its money.
The iPhone is under 1 inch thin and looks spectacular. It runs OS X and feaures a cool browser, zoom capabilites, 2MP camera, connectivity with other apple products. The screen is extremely big and is touch sensitive. Apart from this it even sports a proximity meter that switches of the phone display light when its held close to the ear and an accelerometer that changes the display based on how you hold the phone. There are a lot of complaints that i am reading in the blogosphere, mainly the performance and some basic feature issues. But all in all, its a good product. Its definetely not a replacement to your iPod….shortcoming or strategy …. you decide. here are some shots of it.
